Voting in Person
Voting in person, will be available on general voting day, November 19, 2011, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the following location:
- University Hill Secondary School,

Voting by Mail
Mail-in packages can be picked up from the UEL Administration Office, 5495 Chancellor Boulevard, starting from Tuesday, November 1st. They must be returned to the UEL Administration Office no later than 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2011.
You can pick up a maximum of 10 Mail-in packages within a 72 hour period. You will not be required to provide the names of the intended Electors. Each Mail-in package however will have a tracking number and you will be required to sign a Voting Book for each and every one of the packages you pick up. As you will see, the process is very simple. The secrecy of the ballot and the integity of the vote will be maintained notwithstanding the tracking mechanism.
Please take your valid photo Id with you.
Voter Identification
To vote, Voters must present a valid piece of identification containing their picture, name and UEL address.

Voter Registration
Voter registration takes place at the time of picking-up the Mail-in package from the UEL Administration Office or when voting in person at a voting place.
Voter Eligibility
Only Electors are eligible to vote. To qualify as an Elector, a person must meet all of the following criteria:
- Is 18 years of age or older or will be on voting day;
- Is a Canadian citizen (Note that Landed immigrants who are not Canadian citizens do not qualify as an Electors);
- Has been a resident of British Columbia, as determined in accordance with Section 52 of the Local Government Act, for six months immediately preceding voting day;
- Has lived or owned land in the UEL for at least 30 days immediately preceding voting day; and
- Has not been disqualified by law from voting.
